I can mute it even more by adding a mineral SPF lip balm on top for every day use. It really lasts very well. I let it set, blot with a wet tissue, seal with lip balm or gloss, and then I can go swimming and it lasts for hours in the pool. It also doesn't dry my lips a bit like other stains can. It goes on full pigment and evenly. It's very comfortable and a pleasure to use. I do wish the box came with some sort of hygiene seal. Especially for a lip product. It didn't seem used but I really prefer a seal to be sure.
